The Story of be Thuy Nhu
Be Thuy Nhu was a poor girl who had lost her father and whose mother struggled to raise 4 kids.  She came to us in 2008 through the introduction of sister Michelle Lanh asking for help and support so she can continue to go to school.  She also has a disfigured face that add to her misfortunate.  She was 12 years old at the time. 

Her mother can barely afford to keep her in school.  Through the help of Messengers of Love sponsors, we were able to give Thuy Nhu a scholarship to help pay for school tuition, lunch money and books. 
We continued to help her each year by giving her scholarship for her education.  In 2010, she was chosen to attend Nam My, a private prestigious school that follows American programs and teaches extensive English to prepare the children for study abroad in their college years.  We sent her through a full tuition-free scholarship given by the school to Messengers of Love and MoL would subsidize all other costs. 
Thuy Nhu came to live with the Dominican nuns in Saigon to attend Nam My and she excelled in her new school.  She is happy child.  Last year, she received moneytary award by the school and was awarded with another year of scholarship.  With Nam My’s scholarship and Messengers of Love’s help, her future is now bright and she will have a chance to advance and succeed in life with the education she will have had from Nam My.   She is not too lonely there, since she has three other friends,  3 orphaned children that Messengers of Love helped raised who also received the scholarships at Nam My.     
          Since Thuy Nhu has disfigured face, we also were able to obtain sponsorship from Dr. Tue Dinh from Methodist Reconstructive Surgery to agree to treat Thuy Nhu free of charge.  MoL is working on preparing paperwork and fund raising for Thuy Nhu to come to the USA for treatment.   

The Story of Nhut Linh, Thuong & Hong Hanh

     MoL’s new program “Investment in a Child Future” enable sponsors to sponsor bright student with potential for success to invest in so they will be armed with an excellent education and a chance to grow and excel.  The hope is that some day they will return what they have received to the communities and help the society.  MoL continue with its mission of “making a profound difference in a child 's  life” in  as many ways  as we can. 
     This past year school, in addition to Thuy Nhu, MoL was able to send 3 orphaned girls from St. Joseph orphanage:  Thuong, Hong Hanh, Nhut Linh from a tuition free scholarships to Nam My school.  These girls were chosen based on their grades, extreme difficult circumstances, and high potential to succeed. 
     The girls was sent to live with the Dominican sisters in Quận Tám, so they can be close to their school and supervised and can be helped with their school work by the sisters.  They adapted and do very well in their new environment.  Hong Hanh was ranked the top of her class only after having been in the school for one year with very limited English when she first came.      
     Messengers of Love visited Thuy Nhu and the orphaned children in 2009 and get regular report from the sisters on their progresses.   We wanted to make sure that through MoL investments, they will have a future that they would not have had otherwise without the help of Messengers of Love. 
     We do need continuous sponsorship from big-hearted people such as yourself to make this program a success.

The Story of Cao Thanh Dat

Dat was poor student from Bien Hoa.  He came from a family of 8 children, 2 of them are handicapped.  He was going to quit school to release the family’s financial burden and to help the family out through a difficult time.  In 2006, Dat came to MoL to seek help through the introduction of Sister Lanh, the director of St. Joseph orphanage.  MoL took Dat under our wing, gave him a scholarship, and subsidize school costs and other costs, so Dat can continue schooling without any burden on his family financial.  

We are proud to announce that this summer 2011, Dat graduated from college with honor.   He found a job and will be working to help his family.  Our investment in Dat had paid off.  He is now a grown young man with a promising future.  MoL wouldn’t have been able to help Dat all these years without the help of all our sponsors and donors.

Lời đầu tiên cho cháu gửi lời cám ơn đến cô và tất cả mọi người trong Hội.
Trong thời gian qua, cháu vẫn được tiếp tục trên con đường học vấn của mình đó là nhờ sự giúp đỡ chân thành và đầy tình thương của cô và Hội.  Bây giờ cháu đang trong thời gian chờ nhận bằng tốt nghiệp và có thể đi làm để phụ giúp cha mẹ lo cho các em trên con đường học vấn. Chính nhờ sự giúp đỡ của cô và mọi người trong Hội mà phần nào cũng làm giảm gánh nặng cho cha mẹ chúng cháu về vấn đề mưu sinh để lo tiền học cho con cái.  
Cháu viết thư này xin chân thành cám ơn cô và mọi người trong hôi.  Cha mẹ của cháu cũng có lời cảm ơn chân thành đến cô và mọi người trong Hội.  Nguyện xin Chúa và mẹ Maria ban nhiều ơn lành xuống trên cô và mọi người.  Chúc cô có nhiều sức khỏe và niềm vui trong cuộc sống đồng thời mong hội ngày càng lớn mạnh để có thể giúp đỡ những em có hoàn cảnh như cháu được tiếp tục trên con đường học vấn của mình. 
Một lần nữa, cháu xin chân thành cám ơn sự giúp đỡ yêu mến chân thành của cô và mọi người trong Hội đã giúp đỡ cháu trong thời gian học tập qua.
